Paris! Part One..........

Bonjour mes amis!

I'm back to blogging........ for those of you who are wondering what happened to me!

Pardonnez-moi  for the delay in sharing my Paris adventure with you all! I have been going non stop with no down time upon my return to Albuquerque! Coupled with this, was the jet lag, fatigue and the fog I was immersed in, all of which took several days to get over! So now Im back......sort of!  :-) Since my return, c'est tellement bizarre, but every night for the first few weeks upon my return,  I dreamt of Paris, and the fact that I remember my dreams, est aussi bizarre! As a good friend of mine stated (who has been to Paris countless times) before I left for Paris....."don't underestimate the power of Paris!" She was right! Paris is powerful and profound! I received an abundance of advise and information coupled with all the places we should go and see, but at the end of the day, we made it our own, and we had our unique experiences and saw all the things that worked for our timeframe in an almost 2 week stay in Paris!  Yes we saw many highlights of Paris, experienced great food and walked 1000 miles! Lol.....it sure felt like it anyway! It was all a wonder, and a trip I will never forget!

My biggest takeaway and inspiration for my boutique, was the fact that my boutique is a lot like the antique stores we found in Paris, and I have quite a few things in my boutique that one would find in a Paris antique store!  So when I say to come by for a "taste of France", it really is a "taste" of Paris!  In addition and of course, I will never look at a flea market the same ever again, as the Paris flea markets were absolutely astounding and dripping with chandeliers and everything you could possibly imagine that you would want from France!  Not kidding!  Unbelievable.....and we barely scratched the surface of what we saw!  I guess that means I have to go back to see more.......:-)...........soon! :-) :-)

Thank you Erik for making this trip possible, and a reality! I love you!

It's 2 months later now, I'm busier than ever and Paris is forever a part of my life!  You will continue to see and experience it in my boutique, my blogs and many facets of my life! Oui et tres bien!  J'aime tout ce qui est francais! ( I love all things french!)

I hope you enjoy a small series of blogs to include photos of my Paris vacation!
Please come by Je L'adore! to experience a "taste of France"! A bientot mes amis!

More Fall Inspiration from Je L'adore!.....In Paris!

Bonjour from Paris (Montmarte!) The view from my window as I write this!

I've started this blog several times since leaving for Paris, a week ago! Im now sitting in our apartment in Montmarte, looking out the window as I finish up this blog and prepare for the next one, which will be a blog (or 2),  of my Paris adventure!  Fall is in the air, so I infused my boutique with some fall colors for some fall inspiration, the day before I left for Paris! It's not necessary to exclude other colors that are true and fundamental to shabby chic passion, and love for french flair......just because it's fall. In fact, the mix is quite appealing, as well as refreshing and romantic!
As I sit here in Paris, reflecting on everything I have seen so far, it's a great feeling to know that the same holds true here in Paris, and that my boutique reflects much of what I've seen here in Paris the past week.......More on that, in another blog!

2013 Je L'adore! FALLing for French.....Petite Preview!

This year's Fall Decor as I see it, is just as much about the color palette as it is finding those special pieces that will set apart your fall and holiday decor from last year's.  Its with a little disappointment that I must report that in all my search recently for the "latest and greatest" fall decor this year in magazines and online thus far, I have not found anything that inspires me, or that is fresh and different from previous years. Granted, there may be some great fall decor ideas yet to come since we are not officially in Fall yet, but I have decided NOT to wait, and to continue drawing from my own inspiration within, and to begin from a rich palette of color, vintage and romance, that I have yet to see in fall decor. (Pumpkins and gourds?? Really?? NOT!) Not for this girl, or from the french and old world inspiration I draw from!

Of course Im not saying that we can outdo the spectacular fall colors of nature.....but with a new mix of rich, yet soft and fresh colors, one can re-fresh and re-vitalize and romanticize  the fall look, making it more inspiring and more beautiful than ever!  There is something to be said for timelessness and romance in all the seasons of our lives! Oui!

Here's just a petite peek at my 2013 fall.....notice color, warmth, texture.......
and the romance of FALLing for French!

This color palette is divine and is the amazing work of Anne Sandry, a french impressionist whose art is filled with rich texture and magical color! This painting is enough to inspire a gorgeous color palette for fall this year, and is available in my boutique!

Check back soon for more of my 2013 FALLing for French, and more updates regarding Fall and holiday events!
Merci!

Occupe comme une abeille! (Busy as a bee!)

Oui, I'm still here and blogging, but "busy as a bee"!  I finally had a few moments to take some photos of my boutique to share some of the newer items in stock, and to let you know that I'm still here, and going strong! Its been a busy summer in the store, coupled with buying trips and a recent expansion of our showroom! I recently returned from Montreal with some wonderful french finds for the shop! The good news is, I have already sold several items from this trip and the bad news is, I didn't have a chance to take photos of these items!  However, I still have a few things left from Montreal, and will try and get them on my blog soon! In addition to Montreal, I've had some great buying trips this summer, and my boutique is filled with fabulous finds from all over, and of course this includes authentic french decor and textiles!  I will continue buying and stocking wonderful european finds, french decor and one of a kind vintage and antique items for my shop, all of which my customers come in diligently looking for! (Merci beaucoup!)  Please stop by and take a few moments to fill up your senses, and escape to this wonderland of timeless beauty!  Stay tuned for more news, updates and events for Je L'adore! You won't want to miss what we have planned for the holidays!!

Vous allez l'adorer!
