Introducing Anne Sandry, A French Contemporary Impressionist!

Je L'adore! is now proudly featuring the world renowned works of Contemporary French Impressionist, Anne Sandry!  I am honored to know this delightful and very talented artist!

Anne was born and grew up in France, and in an environment of artists.  While studying at the Massenet  School and the Conservatory of Art Dramatique in Bordeux, she was initiated into the fine arts, especially oil, water-color and drawing, by her elder sister, a painter and sculptor pupil of Bourlier and Roganaud at Bordeux Beaux-Arts Academy.  Anne often paints from life in the open air, in pastoral settings, enchanting landscapes and castles.

She continued practicing painting in Paris and attended the Raymond Girard and Rene Simon Schools for Performing Arts. She became an actress in Paris and Brussels. (Theatre, Television and some appearances in films)

Anne also studied at the Beaux-Arts Academy in Tunis. Among her exhibits were several shows in Tunis and Rome, Italy where she lived for 3 years, working and writing. She has traveled extensively in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the United States.

Anne came to New York City where she married an American and joined the Art-oriented French Magazine, "Realities", and also assisted in the writings concerning the music of Russian composer, Alexander Tcherepnin. Anne pursued painting, often returning to France. Her work hangs in many private collections.

Anne moved to Albuquerque, NM, where she continues to work on oils of France. She also does portraits, miniatures and florals. The different cultures she has encountered have provided her an unlimited source of inspiration! Of course, and naturally, the subjects which occur most frequently are those which reflect her French tradition!

To this day, Anne Sandry visits France regularly, where her family resides.
